 Regional page for South America

Welcome to the South American SPATIUM

We are a group of young Latin American people interested in space exploration and space related sciences. Our team is the regional branch of the international “Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC)”, which supports the United Nations Program on Space Applications.

This regional chapter was created in 1999, during the meeting called “UNISPACE III Conference” held in Vienna. The objectives were to create within the Space Generation a group that examines and tackles space-related problems concerning the Latin American nations.

Nowadays, almost ten years later, SGAC Latin America has members in many countries of the region, like Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil and Perú.
