Chinese survey results just in

I have some late results from China to add to the survey results. You might recall that an earthquake in the ocean off China damaged the internet connections a few weeks ago. Since then internet in China has been virtually unusuable and so no one there could fill out the survey. To make sure that we could get the results from the area, we sent the survey by spreadsheet and it was filled out by hand by two volunteers including Shi Heng and mailed back to me.

I've uploaded these results to the file sharing section under the folder survey results. The direct link is here.

Please consider these results in your analysis.

More processing needed?

Well we have more results now. Not nearly as long as those before but should we all take and add these to the numbers we have worked up already and repost the new totals? If not then do we add them separately?

China results "now"

I just added the results from China to the "now" part of the survey and uploaded it under the name:

Survey_sorted_summary_now with China_10years_Bee_Annelie

It is striking to see the increase in the sections: Education and Policy. Increasing public awareness (Propaganda) in China seems the most pressing issue, along with improving Chinese knowledge of technologies and science. Many stress this under "cooperation to learn from other countries". Also an increase in specialized space professionals (not only technical but also managerial) is strongly wished.
On the contrary, privatization is not mentioned anywhere (wheareas it is the biggest hit for US citizens)...

Conclusion: a very interesting piece of the survey... :)

Results with Chinese survey - 5 years

Hello, everyone.

5 years results with Chinese survey have been sorted and added under the folder "Round 1 Survey". Similiarly, "International Cooperation" and "Policy" are emphasised.

50 Year results updated

I have added the additional Chinese results to the existing results with new total figures. Its uploaded as 50 year results + Chinese It seemed that colonization was the most important aspect.

30 years results updated with Chinese survey

The 30 years result has been merged with the 5 years one in the file "Sorted_5yrs___30yrs_Chinese included_sheng.xls".
"New technology for space mission" and "space tourism" seemed to be the most concerned issues in China in regard to the "30 years" section.

Ok, I have included the Chinese Results with the others in my time frames. The ones including the Chinese Results have "revised" after the time frame heading. SO sorry these results are late. School has been very hard.
