Lunar Explorers Society

The Lunar Explorers Society is an international organization dedicated to enabling exploration of the Moon for the benefit of humanity. We are open to everyone, although we are run by the emerging young generation with guidance from the International Lunar Exploration Working Group. The Society has recently revived its activities and intends to grow to be the leading organization for our next realistic step, the Moon.

By the end of SGC, we aim to finalize our agenda for the Lunar Explorers Society Workshop in conjunction with the International Lunar Conference in Italy 22-26 October 2007.

FEB: Define exact goals for the Workshop.
MAR: Draft a proposal to secure funding to sponsor young participants.
APR: Define sub-teams for organizing the Workshop.
MAY: Announce the opportunity for "Young Lunar Explorers" sponsorship.
JUN: Finalize rough agenda for the Workshop.
JUL: Select "Young Lunar Explorers" sponsorship recipients.
AUG: Redefine exact goals to accomplish during SGC discussions.

Possible workshop topics:
* Develop a realistic proposal for a private explorers mission to the Moon.
* Develop outreach materials to inspire people about going to the Moon.
* Develop a website for productive collaboration among (young) lunar explorers across borders.
* Create a journal for students and young professionals to share ideas related to the Moon.
