BACHELOR PROGRAMME

This programme has provision for 9 disciplines: Information Technology, Mathematics & Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Biology, Biotechnology, Geology, and Environmental Science, accommodating over 40 specialisations.

The annual intake for the 4-5 year BS degrees in natural sciences and spearheading technologies comprises the top-scoring candidates from the July national entrance examinations.

The academic year is made up of 2 compulsory semesters and an optional summer semester for uncompleted or ahead-of-schedule courses.

The delivery mode is credit-based, which is conductive to students' time flexibility while requiring students to be more active in their planning and time management.

In this credit-based scheme, subject to individual students' academic performance and pace, the degree duration may, as a result, be shorter or longer than the standard length, providing a minimum of 210 credits earned for degree completion to be acknowledged.

MASTER PROGRAMME

This programme is currently hosting 30 specializations, namely: Algebra, Analysis Application, Probability and Statistics, Optimization Theory, Geometry and Topology, Theoretical Mechanics, Applied Mechanics, Informatics, Theoretical Physics, Optical Physics, Electronic Physics, Nuclear Physics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Oceanography, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Plant Physiology, Ecology, Animal Physiology, Petrology-Mineralogy- Sedimentology, Geology, Geohydrology, Engineering Geology,
and Environmental Science. Currently, a total of approximately 1000 students attend these courses.

DOCTORATE PROGRAMME

Specialisations delivered programme include Algebra, Analysis Application, Probability and Statistics, Optimization Theory, Geometry and Topology, Mechanics of Deformed Solid Objects, Mathematics for Computer and Calculation Systems, Theoretical Physics, Optical Physics, Nuclear Physics, Solid Matter Physics, Electronic Engineering, Geophysics, Oceanography, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Plant Physiology, Ecology, Animal Physiology, Genetics, Petrology-Mineralogy- Sedimentology. Currently, a total of approximately 120 research students attend these courses. The prerequisites for Doctorate enrolment are an Honour Master's or Bachelor's degree and passing the May admission exams. Programme duration is 2-3 years for an MSc and 4-5 years for a BSc, during which students must conduct 3 research projects to be published in science journals, and have a PhD dissertation successfully defended before:

# An institutional jury; then
# A national jury

in order to be granted the PhD
