The Astronomy and Space Exploration (ASX) Society is a student-run and non-profit organization at the University of Toronto, Canada. ASX's purpose is to educate, excite, and inspire students, professionals, and the general public about astronomy and space.

Since its inception in 2003, ASX has rapidly grown to over 1400 members, and has organized and hosted more than a dozen events, attracting 1500-2000 event attendees per year. These events include the annual Symposium (with combined attendees of over 4000 people), "Faces of Space" Lecture Series, Panel Discussions, Space Exploration Showcase, and Observing Nights.

ASX has featured prominent speakers from around the world, such as:

* Dr. Robert Zubrin (President of The Mars Society)
* Chris Hadfield (Canadian Astronaut)
* Professor Jayme Matthews (Principle Investigator for MOST)
* Professor Mike Brown (the discoverer of “the tenth planet”), and
* Darlene Lim (NASA).

Topics of discussion have covered various facets of space, such as ‘Mars and Beyond’, ‘The Search for Life’, 'Cosmology from the Stratosphere', and 'Space Business'.

ASX has established partnerships with numerous organizations, such as the Royal Astronomical Society, CSA (Canadian Space Agency), the Ontario Science Centre, and University of Toronto’s Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics. In addition, ASX has collaborative relationships with UTIAS (U of T Institute for Aerospace Studies), York University, and Spacetime Star Theatre.

ASX is continuously seeking support from sponsors, new partnerships and collaborations, and distinguished speakers, in order to continue educating, exciting, and inspiring today’s society about astronomy and space exploration.
