The International Committee on GNSS (ICG) is an international forum to discuss cooperation on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and to promote the applications of GNSS to maximize the benefits of GNSS to people around the world. The ICG was established in 2006, with recognition of the United Nations General Assembly. Learn more about it here: http://www.unoosa.org/oosa/SAP/gnss/icg.html

The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), in recognition of growing importance of GNSS applications and their benefits to society, which can be furthered by cooperation among the system providers and through information exchange between the providers and the user groups – as aimed for by the ICG, have decided in March 2008 to launch a project on ICG/GNSS.

A SGAC project team on ICG/GNSS was created to promote international cooperation in GNSS and GNSS applications, in support of the ICG. One of the goals of the project team is to provide input to ICG, particularly on matters related to education and public outreach, and act as a medium for information dissemination. The team will conduct promotional activities relating to cooperation in GNSS and GNSS applications.

If you would like to participate, please go to the group's forum or contact So Young, the project lead for more information.
