Jamaica's Yuri's Night party was hosted by the Astronomical Association of Jamaica (AAJ). After a brief introduction to the event by Jamaica's NPoC, the AAJ seized upon the opportunity to have yet another Star Party while taking the Space agenda in Jamaica one small step further.
The event was held at an old brewery in Jamaica's capital city, Kingston. It drew roughly 20 patrons ranging from Generation Z to the Baby Boomers. The social activities were largely organised around night sky viewing - several telescopes were available for patrons to get their fix on the night's stars, planets, and galaxies. An official introduction to the Yuri's Night celebrations was also presented - this was compiled by Jamaica's NPoC and presented by the AAJ Vice President. The events were a complete success with the AAJ signing on about eight new members, including students, who will help to carry the Space banner in Jamaica. The events closed off at approximately 23:00 local time.
