#^ "If you are reading this, and feel discouraged by an inability to communicate to others your own feelings about the importance of an active space development effort, comfort yourself with this thought. If you want to be on the leading edge of anything, you have by definition to be a couple of standard deviations away from most people. That makes you an odd-ball. The trick is to learn to accept it, then to like it--and keep on making lots of noise for what you believe in." - Charles Sheffield, Keynote Address AAS Annual Meeting, 1978

Well, my name is Alexandra, I’m a research assistant (engineer), Remote Sensing Department in Solar Terrestrial Influences Laboratory, Bulgaria. My wish is to popularise
Space education and promote science knowledge in the society. Any one interested in creating educational project within FP7?

Hello everyone,
I am Kat Coderre and am one of the moderators for this forum, along with a co-lead for this project.
Welcome to the forums!
I'm an Aeronautical Engineer with Lockheed Martin working on the CEV Orion Project in the Flight Operations area. The SGC is tons of fun and I can't wait to meet you all in September! So onto some of the questions...

belovelife,
We are still quite early in the design phase of the capsule. Things keep changing and it sometimes amazes me how complex designing a spacecraft can be. I am not able to talk in detail now, since the design is not finished, but a lot of new technologies, along with older ones that have proven capable have been put into the capsule. Hopefully, if things work out and I am cleared, I would hope to bring information on the CEV with me to the SGC!
There is some good information on NASA's website (www.nasa.gov)...just do a search for CEV or the Constellation Program.
