Over View of the ISU Summer Space Programme (SSP)

The Summer Session Program is a 9-week course ISU organises every year in various parts of the world. Its interdisciplinary curriculum emphasizes international cooperation and provides students with varied perspectives on the world’s space activities—perspectives normally reserved for those with years of diverse professional experience. The program includes a wide variety of activities, including lectures by renowned experts, hands-on activities and projects, teamwork exercises and professional visits, and each year it evolves to better meet the needs of its students and their employers.

Throughout the course, students are encouraged to contribute their own ideas, knowledge and enthusiasm, while—in accordance with ISU's philosophy—being open to and learning from others' unique perspectives. All course work at ISU is conducted in English.

Space Security Theme Day - overview

The Space Security Theme Day was scheduled for 31st July. This was an opportunity for students to come and learn more about the space security and what is being done about it. Here is the programme:
As Earth orbit becomes increasingly crowded with working satellites and orbital debris, and States increasingly look to space systems to support national security, space experts have become increasingly concerned about the ability to sustain the space activities that provide us with so many useful benefits. This theme day will explore the many technical, legal and policy challenges that face continued use of Earth orbits during the coming decades, from space debris to space governance.
