Sir Arthur C. Clarke's 91st Birth Anniversary

The 91st birth anniversary of world renowned science fiction writer late Vidyajothi Sir Arthur C. Clarke falls today. The Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies (ACCIMT) has arranged to celebrate this occasion with an exhibition and a series of seminars at its premises at Katubedda, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
The exhibition will be opened by Science and Technology Minister Prof. Tissa Vitharana at 9 a.m. The public can view the exhibition from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The seminars held on this day will cover the following topics. Electronics, e-communication, information technology and space technology.
The programme will also include a lecture on astronomy conducted by Dr. Chandana Jayaratne. Entrance to the exhibition and seminars will be free.
