Delegate Selection Announcement

I'm pleased to announce that we have selected two delegates to attend the symposium and workshop. These are Shi Heng (sheng) and Tiffany Frierson (QuantumP7).

Shi Heng was selected based on his tremendous work collecting survey responses from Chinese youth during a period where all internet access in China was lost due to an earthquake in the Pacific Ocean, his subsquent participation in these discussion forums, and his work developing the brochure template for the presentation of the results.

Tiffany Frierson was selected based on her consistent work in these discussion forums promoting the survey and helping coordinate the processing of results.

To those who did not make the final selection, I would like to acknowledge you for the work you have been doing here. Particulary Bee and Veren, who have done some excellent work here as well. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we hope that you will be here with us for the rest of this project. Don't forget that there are plenty more exciting opportunites coming up this year, including the Space Generation Congress in Hyderabad, India. We'll be selecting 100 young leaders to come to that event, so I definitely hope I can see you all there.

Congratulations to both our delegates!

Chris

Do I need to officially

Do I need to officially accept?

If so, I officially accept!!!!

Anyway, I'm gonna print out this page and frame it or something.

I have to say, though, if it wasn't for Veren and Bee, we probably wouldn't be where we are as far as the survey process is concerned. You guys are amazing!!

Thank you Quantum!You

Thank you Quantum!
You deserve it! And we are not done yet - I shall be here to help refine the output till the very last day. I am very busy preparing for my Marathon, but I shall find time to help sort out the second survey and work on the draft too.

Also, another amazing opportunity has risen: I am meeting the President of India, His excellency, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Azad (he shall give a video msg at the Boston conf too!) at the end of April. He is a great visionary and if you all don't object, I shall give him a short summary of our findings and how youth within India and Asia-Pacific can play a bigger part in the next 50 years of space. Everyone who has been very active here can get credited to this document, so I hope it would be OK.

!!!
I look forward to the survey closing tonite and perhaps we can get sorting tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind you

I wouldn't mind you presenting the survey findings to him at all. Although the final decision doesn't rest on me. hee hee

I have been sorting the survey results as it's gone on. It's easier this time around because you don't have to figure out which category to put which response in. You just count the number of votes and everything.

Anyway, love you guys!!!

Hi Sagar

Hello Sagar,
Thank you for your question: A synopsis of this speech is now available to view and download on the President's website : http://presidentofindia.nic.in/scripts/eventslatest1.jsp?id=1494. You can download the original president as well as the video recording.

I hope this helps.

I shall move the inquiry regarding the National Point of Contact to the forum on the Regional and National Forum = I see you have been active there, so I hope you find the answer there satisfactory.

Bee
