Work plan for COPUOS
The 50 year visions survey will form the centerpiece of our statement to COPUOS. Here is the work plan for getting it ready.
We have 4 documents now:
- 2 page flyer - already printed at high quality
- power point presentation - needs updating
- road map - needs content and design work
- report - needs significant writing
The flyers are already at our Vienna office with Agnieszka so there is no need at this stage to make news ones, especially since not a lot has changed in the last month.
The power point presentation should be updated with the latest results from the report and include the road map if it is ready
The road map is intended to be a one page (or 1 page with some pages of footnotes) explain distilling the top visions into a workable plan. This roadmap can be included in the report or printed as a stand alone document.
The report is the actual real output of this project. It should include a description of the project, the survey, the delegate participation, and the results from the round 1 and 2 surveys, and include follow on work.
At COPUOS we will face a fairly discerning audience so it is important to show we have made progress over the last 2 months. What I propose then is that we focus our efforts on the report writing and the development of the road map. At the end of the week when we have something done, we can update the powerpoint presentation for showing at COPUOS.
Tiffany and Shi, I think you guys can make a good start on the document by filling in the sections that you know. You might like to include extracts from your own reports to get a start on things. Once you have something, I can take over and fill in some of the gaps.
By the weekend we should then have made some progress on the report and have an updated presentation. Let's get going!

Hey Everyone,
Great to see more activity revived here! I am currently looking at the draft report (this one that would probably resemble SGAC's EU Policy input document), so that we can put together much more details on the process that went on during the forums, significant contributions from different members and the surveys, their formats, etc and will use a lot of the material you are posting here.
This is something I am helping Chris with just on the side: I am on holiday and as usual working on SGAC things I don't get time for in 'normal workdays'. So, will post different sections for your comments and criticisms as well as calls for what I require your contirbutions to. I hope that is OK.
