New Goals and Getting Back to Work

Hello everyone! Sorry that our forums have been rather quiet lately, but lets get this show going again!

We have better defined some goals for our group, both before, during and after the SGC. I hope this helps you all better understand what we as the Project Research Team are doing. Our main goal, if I should chose one, is the first one listed under long term goals...to maintain our latent capacity to do research. This means that we are building the standard process and infrastructure allowing the SGAC to perform research and communicate the results to our "customers." Part of our task will also be to identify those customers.

Please read below and lets get to work!

* Long term project goal
o Maintain our latent capacity to do research and promote our work
o Have the resources available throughout the year to create,
process, and publish results
o Write documents throughout the year, and keep the data accessible
o Continue to address tasks for UN COPUOS
o Continue working on the 50 year vision for space exploration
o Publish and distribute our reports online

* Objectives for before SGC
o Building our capacity to do research
o Familiarize delegates with what the Project Research Team is and does
o Discuss ideas on managing our project research
o Determine possible topics we may be interested in researching
o Begin working on document templates

* Goals during the SGC
o Build upon work done before SGC
o Work on guidelines for projects we are interested in tackling
o Identify customers for our reports
o Work on a reporting "toolkit", such as powerpoint and word
templates, graphics, and other resources to aid in reporting
o Develop better ways to create surveys and process results
o Work on website/webpage to contain all our work and information
o Develop a good way to manage volunteers
