Do any of you know how to use Drupal? It is what all the SGAC and SGC sites are made with and is very easy once you know how to use it.

Let me know, I could help you get started with a site, something like www.spacegeneration.org/lunarwaystation

Hello guys,

sorry for the late reply. I have someone helping me with Drupal. Can we get access to the database and the server to upload our package? (better to say, what should we do to get the access? :))

drupal issue

Drupal is great! :) So far at least... I've just tried it. Here is our "trial" web-page:
http://marvin.elte.hu/lunarwaystation/drupal-5.3/ (The nice logo on the top doesn't want to show up sometimes, but I've just tried it, it will be better!!)

What I need from you guys:

* help to construct a nice design:
- desired color for the text (I don't like the green)
- nice pic for the top (what supposed to be there was just something to try, if I can modify the css style)

* discuss the contect (more important)
What I had on my mind so far:
1.) static pages with information about the
- idea of the project
- proposal from the Planetary Society
- short updates on what we have been doing so far (for example at SGC)
- short description about the team (pictures as well perhaps)

2.) Have an internal site for the project team members, with a link for _this_ forum!! (not starting a new one..)
- the most important would be to have a project management tool with a
- task list (so that we can follow, what has to be done and who is working on what...)

These last two issues are the most important I think, so we can keep our project organized. Please comment, and propose other ideas as well. (I still have to explore what drupal can provide us concerning the PM tools...Kevin, was it you, who was talking about a tool like that at the SGC? Was that a drupal module?)

Timea
who should learn french instead of playing with drupal...:(

Timea, right now, chris is our drupal expert, he can answer all of your questions.

As for the PM tools, www.missionforge.net is what we use for task management. It is not internal, but it is something that Chris is the creator of.

Guys,

please react and contribute to create the content of the website. I added a simple project management tool...I checked out what you proposed Kevin, but I found a nice project management tool within drupal as well and it would be more convenient to have everything on one site. So, please try it and test it...

Dear Timea who should learn french instead of playing with drupal

Checked out the temporary website, looks good even though it is bare bones at the moment. I agree that the green needs to go. Dont know what other colours will look like until their on the page. Also agree that the picture could change. Although I like the one you have up, We should be able to find or make a better one. We also need to add the sgac logo somewhere in it. Maybe we could also make a logo for the waystation project?

Good start with the 'What is the Lunar Waystation project?' page, we could add more detail from the intro in our report or presentation. I'll try adding something and sending it.

I think the planetary society report can be found somewhere on the forum: setting the ground rules and technical threads.
...Lots more to discuss and do, but I better finish this post..All the computers in the lab I'm in are shutting down in a few minutes.
I'll be back..

Satinder
who should be sitting in the Lunar Waystation instead of such an
unco-operative computer lab...:(
