Bangalore Astronomical Society (BAS)

The Bangalore Astronomical Society (BAS) is a registered, non-profit amateur astronomy organisation based in Bangalore, India.

History

The Society grew out of a community on a popular social networking site and collaborated with other e-groups to come together as an organisation. The society had been functioning informally for months before it registered formally on Nov 6th, 2006.
