Our Vision
Young people using space to
make a difference in the world
Our Mission
Our mission is to engage people committed to using space to make a difference and inspiring them, connecting them, challenging them, and facilitating their ideas, visions and projects.
Our plan is
to map out incremental steps that allow future space
explorers and the general public to directly participate
in and support the opening of space.
Our objectives for 2008
are:
- To develop new space leaders
- To build community among people
who are passionate about space
- To create a globally networked
Yuri's Night experience April 12th that powerfully shares our message
with the public
- To create a vibrant online
community to inspire, connect and enable people
- To create compelling projects
that continually attract new people to our network of active space explorers
- To engage the public in a
discussion of the role of space in the sustainability of the planet
and in exploring space responsibly
Our objectives for 2008 are:
- To have 20,000 people participate
in Yuri’s Night and 10,000 trees planted to honor the planet just
as Yuri did!
- To launch a website to share
with people the vision and passion of one of our founders, Todd B. Hawley
- To run workshops on space
leadership at 4 university campuses
- To get 3 articles published
on space from a socially conscious perspective
