Bio

I was raised in Chicago surrounded by family of Eastern-European descent. I am the oldest of three children. The hobbies I am passionate about developed in this environment and I still practice them whenever I have time. I am a huge fan of jazz music and play the alto and baritone saxophones. I ran track and field in high school and was also in the ski club. I currently attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and am a junior in Aerospace Engineering. Outside of the classroom, I am researching a hijacking-prevention system with three friends and acting as the Chairman of the Board of SEDS. Also, I am the student coordinator for ProSpace’s March Storm, the private citizen’s space lobby. I hope to travel to Washington DC this spring to talk to the Congressmen about the future of space exploration and development through this group. My biggest accomplishment has been creating and editing the National Student’s Space Policy Proposal and sending it to over 175 organizations and individuals last year. In the future, I hope to attend the International Space University’s MSM program and eventually earn an M.B.A. My personal vision is to live in a world where everyone has access to the untapped resources available in space and to revitalize a unified, global spirit of space exploration and pioneerism.
